Rev. Fr. Kenneth J. Nelan, OPoc

(**Though he is a Reiki Master/Teacher, Fr. Ken is not currently taking clients.  He is working as a mental health professional until he is able to move forward, with Jan, towards the retreat center.)

Fr. Kenn was ordained in Frederick, Maryland after he and his wife developed and served in an independent Catholic community in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Later, they moved to Arizona where they founded and served in a mission parish until 2010.

In Arizona, together with his wife Jan, he taught in the Wellness Education department of a local community college.  He developed and taught Business Management for Massage Professionals.  He also co-developed and taught the Reiki courses, as well as assisted with professionalism and ethics courses. He co-wrote several manuals with his wife, which are available on Amazon. He and his wife returned to Wisconsin in 2010 where Fr. Kenn currently serves as Vicar General for his Diocese under the Old Catholic Churches International.

Fr. Kenn received his undergraduate degree in Latin American, Caribbean, and U.S. Latino Studies with a minor in Community Engagement and Education and a certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. He was also awarded a Master’s in Science in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on Community Counseling and Multicultural certification, and he currently works in the Mental Health profession as a professional counselor and substance abuse counselor.

Fr. Kenn hopes to one day, together with his wife and other quality practitioners, open a whole-life wellness and retreat center where people can come without worry of insurance or stigma, to find the help they need in all facets of their lives.
