Our Space…
The area marked “Conference Room” (in the above floorplan) will be our continuing education, group, conference, and celebration room.
- Our “Offices”:
- Dedicated psychotherapy and Reiki rooms (marked Fr. Kenn and Jan, respectively).
- A flexible space will initially be an overflow room.
Our waiting area can be used for small groups of about ten people, which means Buddy will still greet our neighbors as they walk through the door.
The restrooms are just across the hall from our office.
A Place of Our Own
We’re still looking for a “church” we can call our own. Let us know if you have office space that fits our needs and would like to give back to the community by donating real estate. Our new office will have a 3-year lease, so we have time to find our permanent home.
Sacred Wandering is organized through the IRS as a “Church.,” According to U.S. Tax Code, “a church, its integrated auxiliaries, and conventions and associations of the church are excluded from taxation.”1 Section 508(c) of the Internal Revenue Code provides that churches are not required to apply for recognition of Section 501(c)(3) status to be exempt from federal taxation or to receive tax-deductible contributions. Churches are automatically exempt from Federal income tax, and contributions to churches are deductible by donors under section 170. “By establishing its exemption, potential contributors are assured by the [Internal Revenue] Service that contributions will be deductible.”2
